Red lights improve the function of cellular mitochondria, increasing the ability to produce energy for healing and growth. In this article I want to highlight the benefits of LED red lights.
Here are the different types of Red Light:
FAR INFRARED – usually used in infrared saunas – has warming rays with wavelengths over 3000nm. This light is invisible to the naked eye. Far infrared saunas heat your cells and cause a detoxing sweat without having to heat the sauna to a high temperature. Think 135 F versus 165 degrees F.
NEAR INFRARED – used for deep tissue healing, organs, joints etc. The specific healing ray range is 800-880nm. This light is also invisible to the naked eye. NIR lights have longer wavelengths that go up to 2 inches into your body. At the right dosages these rays help heal organs, the brain, and muscular skeletal disorders like arthritis. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26873500
LED RED LIGHT – used for skin – brings more circulation and healing to skin, builds up collagen, can reduce wrinkles, reduce age spots, and speed up wound healing. The specific healing ray range is 630-680nm.
LED red lights penetrate less than one centimeter into the skin. They help to reduce inflammation, to fade scars and stretch marks, and to heal and prevent herpes simplex.

There is evidence that LED red light at these frequencies can significantly improve age related eye sight decline. Change was seen in mice after 1 month at 670nm 15 minutes a day.

Get Vitality has purchased a strong LED red light that can be used for skin treatment. You can schedule a standalone treatment at $10 for 10 minutes. Or you can ask for LED red light treatment as an adjunct to a regular massage. While you are relaxing getting a massage we can shine the light on an area of skin that might need help. This will be $10 for 10 minutes of treatment added on to the price of massage.
